I'm a picky hat wearer and this hat is exactly what I was looking for. Don't let it being distressed fool you. It's reinforced underneath the worn areas. Cool look with added durability.
The sweat band is excellent and soft. It feels good to put on, even when it's been sitting out in the cold for a while. The bill of the hat is rigid and holds its curved shape perfectly. The snap back is solid and I don't foresee it failing anytime soon.
As for the patch, it is sewn on well with a single stitch all the way around. I think the newness of the patch kind of throws off the distressed look of the hat a little. So with that being said, I think putting it to use and wearing it often will only make it look better over time.
I highly recommend this hat or any like it if you prefer "dad hats" or unstructured hats.
